Lucy Loo IV is perhaps best known as the sister to Bertram Allens 5* International Show Jumping mare  'MOLLY MALONE'. Both Molly and Lucy started their careers with Sian Edwards Equestrian.  Sian and Lucy Loo IV won the national 6-year old championship at Scope in 2012. They were also 1st in two Qualifiers with limited starts. Molly Malone, was the top 6-year old at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer, Spain in 2010.

SIRE LUIDAM: Was the son of Guidam (x Quidam de Revel), his internationally recognised rider was Ireland’s Billy Twomey.

They were part of the Irish team that won the five-star Nations Cup at Aachen and St Gallen. Twomey and Luidam achieved huge success, amassing many major wins and places internationally; including Leading Horse Golden Jubilee Tour 2002, he won the La Baule Grand Prix in 2003, they were runners-up in the Dublin Grand Prix, Individually they had a fifth place at the 2003 European Championships and sixth at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. Luidam and Billy were also shortlisted for the 2004 Olympic Games.

Grandsire: Guidam, ridden by Eric van der Vleuten Guidam Won International classes in Mechelen, Bordeaux, Endhoven and s-Hertogenbosch. He also won the title for the 'Best Stallion' at the Zwolle International Stallion Show.

Guidam is one of the best sires in the world. As well as being the sire of Luidam, he also produced 'Authentic' who was an Olympic Gold Medalist, and the USA's Horse of the Year (the same year that Luidam won the Aga Khan Cup - 2004) He has sires over thirty five Grand Prix and International Showjumpers, and is rated in the top ten sires of the World

Being by  Quidam de Revel (Jalisco ex Alme) who acquired world fame in 1992 by his performance in the Barcelona Olympics, ridden by Hervé Godignon, where he won team bronze and Individual forth place. And proved to be a world famous sire.

His dam Eljenohve  is a pref elite mare in the KWPN Stud Book. Her sire Akteur sired the international show jumping full brothers Tepic La Silla winner of a bronze medal at the 2003 European championships and Shurlands Governor, whilst through Lucky Boy XX she is closely related to such top performers as The Freak, Titan and Brown Boy who were all top level show jumping horses

Eljenohve  is the great grandmother of the Dressage sensation 'Scandic'

while Akteur is also a known producer of Grand Prix Dressage horses, as well as jumpers.

Dam Sire: Cavalier was one of the most successful KWPN stallions in international showjumping. In the international arena with Franke Sloothaak, this combination won more than 40 international competitions; Grand Prix, Puissance and Speed classes. After his successful showjumping career, Cavalier returned to the Netherlands where he was used as a breeding stallion. Like the famous Olympic jumper Felix, Cavalier is also a son of the sire Maykel. Cavalier's dam Wina (s. Orthos) is a member of the reputable northern Netherlands Sina family. This excellent breeding family has produced numerous national and international sport horses such as the international showjumpers Piccolino (s. Notaris) under Renéé Tebbel, Maltstriker (s. Abgar xx) under Eric Wauters, Oleandra (s. Farn) under Peter Postelmans and Pierrot (s. Marco Polo) under Emile Hendrix. The stallion Quadrifoglio (s. Cavalier) who was very successful during the young horse championships at Zangersheide has already achieved great results in the international show jumping ring with Italian rider Jerry Smit.

Lucy Loo IV has a pedigree that stacks up amongst the best in the world. Her sister Molly Malone has had huge international 5* success with the young Irish rider Bertram Allen.  In 2015, her only other sister Dolly Malone, had a foal to Big Star, the stallion who won Gold at the Olympics with Britains Nick Skelton.
